On this website you can find out more information about the Hinkley Point C Connection project and keep up to date with the latest news.

Update - September 2014: We submitted our Development Consent Order (DCO) application to build the proposed electricity connection to the Planning Inspectorate on 28 May 2014. The application was subsequently accepted for examination on 19 June 2014. Any members of the public who wanted to be involved in the examination process were then able to register their interest with the Planning Inspectorate from 12 July to 26 August 2014.

Everyone who registered during this period and made a relevant representation will now be invited to attend a preliminary meeting which will set the timetable for the six month examination period that follows. During the examination stage people who have registered to have their say will be invited to provide more details of their views in writing. More details of the examination process can be found on the Planning Inspectorate website.

The full plans and supporting documents for the DCO application are available on the Planning Inspectorate website

All correspondence relating to this project must now be sent directly to the Planning Inspectorate who can be contacted by email at or by phone on 0303 444 5000. Any correspondence should quote the application reference number EN020001.
