Welcome

National Grid has applied for consent to build a new electricity connection between Bridgwater and Seabank in Avonmouth.  We submitted our Development Consent Order (DCO) application to The Planning Inspectorate on 28 May 2014.  Following a six month Examination (19 January - 19 July 2015), there will now be a period of three months where the Planning Inspectorate will consider and make a recommendation to the Secretary of State.  The Secretary of State will then have three months in which to make a decision.

More information can be found on the Planning Inspectorate website. Plans and supporting documents for the DCO application can also be found there.

All correspondence relating to this project must now be sent directly to the Planning Inspectorate who can be contacted by email at HPCConnection@infrastructure.gsi.gov.uk or by phone on 0303 444 5000. Any correspondence should quote the application reference number EN020001.
